Five Missing in Flooding in Southern Nigeria

It is reported that rainfall over the past few days has caused flooding in the southern Nigerian states of Anambra and Delta.

As of 25 June, according to local media, two people were missing in Asaba, Delta State, and three in Obosi, Anambra State, while floods have damaged a number of roads and private properties in both cities.
Asaba, the capital of oil rich Delta State of Nigeria, is strategically located on the western edge of the majestic River Niger.

Obosi in Anambra State is a town of about 140,000 people, one of the most densely populated in West Africa.
