Mauritania – Deadly Storms in Brakna and Assaba Regions

UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs says that at least 18 people have died and thousands affected by storms, rain and floods in Mauritania.

The storms struck on 04 September, affecting southern areas of the country. Several houses are thought to have collapsed. Deaths were reported in Boghe, Brakna Region, and Kiffa, Assaba Region.
