To reclaim a pet in the temporary shelter:
Step 1
If you filed a rescue request or to inquire whether your pet was rescued, go to the Iowa Equestrian Center at Kirkwood Community College, 801 76th Ave. Drive SW, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily.
Step 2
Give your name, address and show a form of identification, such as a driver's license.
Step 3
Follow an escort to your pet. If your pet is not in the database, you will be asked to fill out another form and an escort will lead you to the pool of unidentified pets, where you can search for yours.
