Heavy rain continues to cause devastation in parts of East Africa, this time in Rwanda.

Following flash floods and landslides in Uganda and Burundi in recent days, authorities in Rwanda report that heavy rain has triggered landslides in three sectors in Musanze District in Northern Province.
According to local media reports, the landslides hit Muko, Kimonyi and Nkotsi sectors late on 04 December, burying at least 16 homes in the process. Dozens of people have been left homeless. There are unconfirmed reports of several fatalities and injuries.
Elsewhere in the country Rwanda Police warned that flooding from the Nyabarongo river has made roads impassable in areas of Muhanga District in Southern Province.
Rwanda Meteorology Agency has warned that heavy rains could persist up to the end of December.
