Argentina – 3 Dead, 11,000 Evacuated After Floods in Buenos Aires and Santa Fe

Heavy rainfall in Argentina has resulted in flooding in provinces of Buenos Aires and Santa Fe.

Local authorities say at least 3 people have been killed and 11,000 people have evacuated their homes as a result of the flooding. Local media say that several rivers have overflowed.

The city of Salto, Buenos Aires province, is one of the worst affected areas.

More rain and strong winds are expected over the next 2 days.

As many as 12 people died in floods that hit the provinces of Tucumán, Cordoba, Santa Fe and Santiago del Estero during early March 2015.
