Bolivia – Crops Destroyed, Hundreds of Families Affected as Rivers Overflow in Santa Cruz Department

Flooding from the overflowing rivers has affected 26 communities in Ichilo Province in Santa Cruz Department, Bolivia.

Flooding began around 02 March 2020 after a period of heavy rain. Media said as many as 26 communities in the province have been affected, with areas around Yapacaní some of the worst hit.

According to reports, 785 families have been affected, with 158 houses damaged. Flooding also caused damage to livestock and 1,500 hectares of crops.
