Five people were killed and one is still missing after flash floods in West Java, Indonesia.
The floods occurred in the sub-district of Cisalak, Subang District in West Java, late on Sunday 22 May 2016.
The fatalities include a child, aged 7. Indonesia’s disaster management agency, BNPB, say that 3 people, including a baby, have been seriously injured.
As many as 14 houses have been severely damaged or destroyed and at least 388 people have been forced from their homes.
Local disaster management officials, along with personnel from military, police, local volunteers and the Red Cross have worked to evacuate survivors to a local village hall and to take the wounded to the nearest health centre.
West Java Province disaster management office has provided food, water, blankets and clothing for the displaced.
