Flooding in Bandung Regency, West Java Province, Indonesia has damaged more than 10,000 homes.
According to the country’s disaster management agency, BNPB, the districts of Soreang, Dayeuhkolot, Baleendah and Bojongsoang were all affected by floods after heavy rainfall caused the Citarum River to overflow on 10 January 2021.
Flood water was over 1 metre deep in some areas. BNPB said 10,572 homes, 28 schools and 46 places of worship have suffered damaged.
As many as 20,409 families or 66,400 people have been affected. Some evacuations were also reported, although figures are not yet available.
