While much of the UK is enjoying the antics of the its government in the face of the flooding across southern England, other areas of Europe also face a weekend of possible floods.
Some of the threats are a result of snow melt and increased river levels, others as a result of further storms and heavy rain.
France
As we reported yesterday, Brittany has endured severe storms and heavy rainfall that has left several areas under water. As yet another storm looms, flood warnings have been issued. Meteo France says that the departments of Ille-et-Vilaine and Loire-Atlantique face heavy rain and flooding, other coastal areas of Brittany also face strong winds and possible tidal surges. There are orange alerts for river levels of the Odet, Laita, Vilaine and Oust.
As the Tweet below shows, the village of La Gacilly on the Aff River in Morbihan has also seen some flooding.

Italy
Levels of the River Po and its tributaries are very high. The river flows from the Alps across northern Italy. Towns in the Po river basin, especially in the Veneto region, face possible flooding should river levels rise further.
Slovenia
Slovenia has endured weeks of severe weather, with heavy snow fall and ice causing problems. Some flooding has now been reported in in central and southern parts of the country after levels of the Sava river rose. The worst of the threat now seems to have passed.
Croatia and Bosnia
Further downstream, the levels of the Sava are still high, posing a flood threat in some areas of Croatia. Levels of the Kupa river are also high. Mid level flood warnings have been issued for both rivers.
Some flooding has also been seen in parts of Bosnia.

United Kingdom
Further storms are predicted to hit parts of the UK this weekend. This time Scotland could be affected, and SEPA has issued flood warnings for Caithness and Sutherland.
Many flood warnings remain in place across England and Wales. Somerset Levels and parts of the Thames Valley, especially Datchet in Berkshire, remain under water.
Ireland
Parts of Ireland may be hit by the same storm confronting the UK and Brittany, France. This will be the sixth Atlantic storm to hit Ireland in the space of six weeks. Strong winds, heavy rain and storm surge threaten flooding once again. Cork faces the threat of its third bout of flooding in 11 days with a tidal alert issued for 5pm-6pm today.
