Heavy rain in northern England caused flooding in parts of the county of Cumbria.
The Environment Agency said that some areas recorded 211 mm of rain in 24 hours. The Environment Agency issued 18 flood alerts and eight flood warnings.
According to the BBC, Honister, Seathwaite, Ennerdale and Borrowdale were the worst affected.
Two roads and 2 bridges were closed, severely disrupting traffic in the area. Local authorities closed 8 schools. A train line was also closed for some time, causing travel disruption between Carlisle and Maryport. No serious injuries or fatalities were reported.
Cumbria was badly hit by flooding during Storm Desmond of December 2015, when a record 341.4 mm of rain fell in Honister Pass.
