Parts of Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, saw as much as 33cm of rain fall in just 36 hours from late on Saturday evening, 1 February. The areas of San Pedro, San Nicolás, Ramallo, Arrecifes and Pergamino are the worst affected.

Homes and business in the area have been flooded and at least 13 houses have been destroyed by landslides. No fatalities have been reported, although one media source claimed there were five people injured. Neighborhoods along the Tala River were flooded as the river broke its banks in some areas. In total, around 350 people across the region have been forced to leave their homes and stay in temporary accommodation. Roads have also been blocked, including the important Route 9 – the road between Rosario and Buenos Aires.
