The severe weather system that has been affecting much of the Upper Midwest in USA appears to have moved south. Storms and heavy rainfall hit parts of Texas and Oklahoma.
Oklahoma
Oklahoma City and parts of southern Oklahoma saw massive storms and heavy rainfall from Sunday 22 June which resulted in flooding in some areas. Parts of the Interstate 44 have been closed due to flood water. A flash flood warning is in effect in Oklahoma and Cleveland counties and flood advisory is in effect for Grady and McClain counties.
According to WMO, Oklahoma City saw 77.3 mm / 3.04 inches of rain fall in 24 hourse between 22 and 23 June 2014.

Texas
Heavy rainfall on Sunday 22 June 2014 lead to flooding in parts of central and northern Texas. 18 people had to be evacuated in Granbury, which is about 70 miles south west of Dallas, after flood waters threatened to inundate their homes. Levels of rivers and creeks in the area are said to be extremely high. In central Texas, roads and streets are reported as flooded in Crawford and Waco. Waco saw 110 mm / 4.33 inches rain fall in 24 hours between 22 and 23 June 2014.
