Flooding hit parts of southern Louisiana after heavy rain 14 to 15 May.

NWS New Orleans said parts of Livingston Parish in Louisiana recorded more 9.11 inches / 231.39mm of rain in 24 hours to 15 May. Covington in St. Tammany Parish recorded 6.74 inches / 171.20 mm.
Roads were closed and several people were rescued from flooded homes and vehicles in St. Tammany Parish, where the Bedico Creek broke its banks. St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office (STPSO ) said:
“Since the flooding began Thursday evening, STPSO deputies have used high water vehicles and boats to rescue a total of 40 residents and seven pets from homes and vehicles in the area of Bedico Creek Subdivision off Highway 1085. More rain is expected this weekend and the rivers and creeks are very high.”
