We reported yesterday of the ongoing flood situation on the island of Java, Indonesia. East, Central and West Java regions of Indonesia had all seen heavy rainfall over several days. A landslide caused by flooding killed two people in Sukabumi regency, West Java . People had to evacuate from their homes and move to higher ground after flooding in villages in the areas around Bojonegoro, Tuban, Gresik and Mojokerto.

The flooding situation there has worsened, particularly in Bojonegoro and Gresik. Two rivers – Bengawan Solo and Lamong – have burst their banks, resulting in four deaths, two in Bojonegoro and two in Gresik.
