As many as 4 people have died in flooding in West Java, Indonesia, after heavy rain that began 07 February, 2019.
A disaster agency spokesperson said that the overflowing Cinambo River caused a dam to break, flooding areas around the village of Jatiendah in the Cilengkrang district, Bandung Regency late on 09 February.
Three people were killed, 3 injured, 12 house were damaged, 2 of them severely. Residents of the damaged homes have been moved to safer locations.
Flooding affected other parts of the regency, including in Bandung municipality where local media said one person has died.
Almost 70 people died earlier this year after major flooding in South Sulawesi.
Just a few weeks ago disaster struck in West Java when at least 15 people died and many were missing after a massive landslide on 30 December in Sukabumi district.
