Hundreds of homes were damaged after flash floods in West Lombok Regency in the province of West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia.
Flooding struck after heavy rainfall began on 01 May 2021. Indonesia’s meteorological agency BMKG reported 138.5 mm of rain in West Lombok in 24 hours to 02 May 2021

According to the National Agency for Disaster (BNPB) he heavy rain triggered an overflow of a local rive, flooding areas of Kediri and Gerung Districts. Flood water was up to 50cm deep. As many as 294 homes were damaged, at least 6 of them severely, forcing residents to evacuate.
Parts of West Nusa Tenggara and East Nusa Tenggara Provinces were severely affected by flooding in early April 2021. As of 06 April 2021, 128 people had died and 72 people were still missing in East Nusa Tenggara.
