At least 5 people have died and over 100 displaced after heavy rain caused flash floods in Iran.
A period of heavy rain from 01 to 04 October 2019 caused flooding in provinces of Sistan and Baluchestan, South Khorasan, Fars and Hormozgan.
Iranian Red Crescent (IRCS) relief teams have distributed tents, blankets, canned food and washing sets among the flood-affected people. IRCS said they have provided assistance to 300 people who were affected by flood and provided emergency sheltering for 137 people. Relief operation continues in Sistan and Baluchestan.
According to IRCS, 5 people died in two separate incidents in the province of Hormozgan when vehicles were swept away by flood waters.
