More fatalities were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in northwestern Pakistan after heavy rain from 25 to 29 March.
According to reports from the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), at least 10 people died and several were injured after heavy rain triggered flooding, landslides and caused houses to collapse in the districts of Mohmand, Buner, Bajaur, Malakand, Abbottabad and Swabi.
Heavy rain has affected parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa since early March when 20 fatalities were reported. The rain continued, causing further fatalities in the province by mid March.
Heavy rain also affected parts of Balochistan Province from around 24 March. Local media reported that flooding damaged hundreds of homes and shops in Harnai district.
PDMA in Balochistan said relief items have been distributed and those badly affected by the flooding have been accommodated in various public buildings.
