The southern provinces of Chumphon and Prachuap Khiri Khan in Thailand saw heavy rain from around 08 November.
Flooding was reported in several districts of each province, with around 45,000 people affected in as many as 500 villages. Local media have reported 3 deaths: 1 in Prachuap Khiri Khan and 2 in Chumphon.
Roads have been blocked and bridges closed. The provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office and the army have evacuated people in flooded areas to safer locations in Chumphon. The Royal Thai Air Force has been deployed to deliver supplies of necessities and medications to flooded communities in Prachuap Khiri Khan province.
Thai Meteorological Department said that 261.6mm of rain fell in 24 hours to 08 November in Sawi, Sawi District, Chumphon.
