Heavy rains hit north eastern Turkey on 28 September, causing flooding and landslides in Artvin province.
Buildings were damaged and several roads closed after landslides and streams overflowed in Borçka district. Thirteen people trapped in buildings by floodwater were rescued by teams from Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD). No casualties were reported.
