Pakistan – at Least 7 Killed in Flash Floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

At least 7 people have lost their lives in rain-elated incidents in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province since early June.

On 10 June, flash flooding struck in Bajaur District, where one person died. Flooding also destroyed a house in Dera Ismail Khan district, according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).

Between 02 and 04 June, heavy rain triggered floods in Swat, Upper Dir and Buner districts, with 5 fatalities reported as a result. A landslide in Buner on 07 June left one person dead and homes damaged.

Meanwhile in northern India, several houses were damaged and vehicles were washed away in the flash floods triggered by heavy rainfall in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on 05 June. No casualties were reported.
