At least one person died and three others are missing after flash floods in Artvin province in northeastern Turkey.

Flooding struck in Yusufeli district during the evening of 12 July, 2020. In a statement, the provincial government said flash floods occurred along the Artvin-Yusufeli highway after heavy rainfall. The flooding caused destruction on the highway and at the Yusufeli Dam Construction site.
One person died and 3 are still missing. It is thought the victims are construction workers who were working on the dam. Other workers have been evacuated.
Yilmaz Doruk, the provincial governor, visited the site on 13 July. The Artvin-Yusufeli highway has been closed to traffic. Search and rescue operations are continuing.
